Lisa and I are looking into it, but things are not dropping
smoothly into place. Her father is out of the state right
now, and I have not had a chance to confer with him on this
as of yet.
We are looking at having it on the Mississippi River as
opposed to at the farm. Event insurance is prohibitively
expensive, and then there are problems with the farm as
well. I'd feel really awful if you folks got sick due to
the chemicals used on pecan trees, or were bitten by
one of the snakes around the pond and orchards.
We WANT this event to happen, quite possibly more than
you folks do. Please let us know your feelings on this.
I can't do this on my own, the two of us can't do it by
ourselves.
Two people have suggested having a BBQ, and some rides
around the greater Memphis area. No problem, I drive a
local short haul semi and know some nice riding roads
nearby. We also have Graceland, Beale Street, Civil War
sites, fossil hunting beds, national historic sites, etc.,
for people who like to absorb some of the "local color"
when they go someplace new.
We'll keep up the updates as investigations go on.
I'll check with the local bike shops and find out where
the local rallies usually take place.
